Prohibited & Restricted Items Agreement

It is illegal and strictly prohibited to send the following through PassPost, whether within Norway or across borders:

• ✕Narcotics & illegal drugs — All illegal drugs and narcotic substances, including cannabis and cannabis products, drug precursors, and drug paraphernalia. Doping substances (steroids etc.).
• ✕Weapons & ammunition — Firearms and parts, ammunition, airsoft/air guns, crossbows, knives with blades over 12 cm, flick knives, daggers, brass knuckles, batons, pepper spray, and realistic replicas.
• ✕Explosives & fireworks — Explosives, detonators, fireworks, flares, party poppers, and airbag units.
• ✕Flammable liquids & gases — Petrol, lighter fluid, paint thinner, solvents, alcohol above 70%, butane/propane, lighters and refills, aerosols (including deodorant and hairspray), and camping gas.
• ✕Toxic & corrosive substances — Poisons, pesticides, acids, lye, mercury, chlorine, infectious or biological material, and radioactive material.
• ✕Loose lithium batteries — Loose or damaged lithium batteries and power banks. Batteries are only permitted when installed in the device they power and protected against short-circuiting.
• ✕Counterfeit & stolen goods — Counterfeit branded goods, pirated products, stolen property, and forged documents or currency.
• ✕Cash & high-value items — Banknotes, coins, gold, silver, platinum, precious stones, securities, and bearer documents.
• ✕Illegal media — Child sexual abuse material and any other content that is illegal to possess or distribute.
• ✕Live animals & remains — All live animals, insects, and reptiles, as well as human or animal remains.
• ✕Protected wildlife (CITES) — Ivory, furs, corals, and other products from endangered species protected under the CITES convention.

The following may only be sent when the sender has verified that it is legal for the specific route, quantity, and recipient. When crossing borders, customs and excise rules apply:

• ✕Alcohol & tobacco — Subject to excise duty, age limits, and import restrictions. Never permitted across borders without proper customs declaration.
• ✕Medications — Prescription medicines may generally only be sent to the person named on the prescription, and cross-border shipping is heavily restricted. Sent at the sender's own risk.
• ✕Food & perishables — Animal products, dairy, and meat are restricted across borders. Perishables are sent at the sender's own risk.
• ✕Plants, seeds & soil — Subject to phytosanitary rules when crossing borders.
• ✕Perfume & nail polish — Flammable — small quantities only, and never by air transport.

• You confirm that you have full knowledge of the parcel's contents and that the declaration you give in the app is accurate and complete.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring the contents are legal to transport on the chosen route, including customs rules when crossing borders.
• The carrier and PassPost may refuse, open for inspection in your presence, or hand over to the authorities any parcel suspected of containing prohibited items.
• You accept full legal and financial liability for any damage, loss, penalties, or costs caused by undeclared or prohibited contents.
• Violations lead to permanent exclusion from PassPost and will be reported to the police where required by law.
